Trips

As every year there is the chance for the bike-lovers to participate on 3 organised trips

guided by the member of the Salzburg Chapter.

As soon as the trips are finalized, we will inform you of course about the detailed routes.

Friday, 07.06.2019

Meetingpoint 12.30 am busstop Zwölferkogel

Start  13.00 half day trip

The tour leads us from Saalbach to Saalfelden and then direction Leogang. When we reach Hochfilzen we turn right into a beautiful valley direction Wiesensee and on to St.Ulrich passing the Pillersee to Waidring. From thereon we cruise to Lofer and over a little steep narrow curvy streetto the Loferer Steinplatte tot he Gasthof Loderbichel at 1020 m above sealevel. There we enjoy the beautiful mountainviewand after a break we start our journey back over Lofer, St. Martin and Saalfelden to Hinterglemm.

Start 10:30 all day trip

The starts from Hinterglemm Zwölferkogel to Zell am See along the river Salzach to Wald im Pinzgau. There we turn right to a little more curvy road, the old Gerlosstraße (B165) up tot he Gerlosplatte, passing the reservior lake Durlaßboden tot he hotel Finkau where we have our lunchbreak. On sunny days you have breathtaking view over the Salzburg and Tyrolian Alps. After the break we take the new Gerlosstraße (€ 8,– fee) passing the famous Krimmler Waterfalls to Krimml and trough the Salzachtal back to Hinterglemm.

Start 10:30 all day trip

Our last tour takes us to Maria Alm and on tot he Filzensattel and the Dientener Sattel to our first break at the Birgkarhaus where we  have a wonderful view at the Höchkönig. Afterwards we ride on to Mühlbach am Hochkönig through a narrow valley and a curvy street to Bischofshofen, St. Johann and St. Veit where we enjoy our lunchbreak with typical Austrian „Bauernkrapfen“. The way back leadsus over Schwarzach, Lend and Dienten or Zell am See (depending on the weather) back to Hinterglemm.

 

And now a little information on our own account: The tours will be guided by our Safety-Team from the Salzburg Chapter and the neuralgic crossings will be secured. This does not mean crossings can be passed directly without watching. We assume no liability for any accidents. the tours are chosen to be manageable for every regular driver.
